Retail Career Journey
Working for one of our showrooms provides you with a fantastic platform to build your career, with many learning opportunities along the way.During your first 3 months you will work your way through our Retail Induction e-learning programme which will prepare you for your classroom learning. These modules cover the history of The Watches of Switzerland Group and our Brands and an introduction to products as well as systems and procedures. You will also be invited to an Induction workshop to discover more about the brand you are working for and learn about our sales culture.
From month 4 onwards, your learning journey opens up, not only will you be enrolled in our own Academy to build upon your product knowledge you will also have the opportunity to attend a range of courses from sales training, cultural training, advanced selling courses, and product training. Once you have worked with us for 12 months you can request to be assessed in order to undertake a Jewellery Diploma by undergoing the National Association of Goldsmiths Jewellery Education Training (JET 1 & 2). We also work very closely with our brand partners to ensure you are trained to the highest standard to sell these prestigious timepieces.
If you want to progress into a management role, there are a number of routes to help you on your learning journey. Our management development programmes take top sales talent into junior management roles, upskills junior managers in all areas of leadership, and finally prepares the best of the best in our Deputy Manger estate to take on their first Showroom Manager opportunity.
If you join us as a Store Manager you will have a tailored 6 month induction plan which includes a week at our Head Office in Leicester to ensure we support you fully as you get to know and understand our business. Your own Learning and Development Business Partner will then be on hand to help you to access the right courses, visits and learning tools available to you.
Head Office Career Journey
If you join one of our Head Office teams based in Leicester or London, the opportunities are varied. If you are ambitious and are showing potential, we will bring you onto one of our Management Development programmes specifically tailored for our Support Services colleagues. We also support you by providing IT training courses and by looking into industry specific training and qualifications to suit your particular role.We run a robust Lead, Manage, Coach (LMC) development programme throughout the year for all first line managers to access.
