Are you an experience Assistant Buyer looking for your new challenge?

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Junior Buyer to support the Buyer with the challenge of planning and negotiating the purchase of merchandise in order to optimise departmental sales and company profitability. You will be responsible for delivering agreed business, revenue and margin objectives in your area of responsibility. 

The Junior Buyer must have credible knowledge of the issues facing the business on a day to day basis and in the longer term. They should be able to develop their own solutions and be entrepreneurial in their approach whilst maintaining the Company's professional image. They need to be able to provide a clear communication link between all parts of the business and will be forward looking in anticipating future challenges and opportunities and respond to these with effective planning.

About you

• An experienced Assistant Buyer looking for a new challenge
• An excellent problem solver
• Ability to work within a budget whilst still being able to trade profit opportunities on a continual basis
• Exceptional planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi task
• Strong It skills – especially Excel and buying software
• Exceptional communication skills and confident liaising with all levels within a business
• A positive, “can-do” attitude
