Job Description
As Director of Buying & Merchandising – Jewellery & Watches UK, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Group's product, buying, merchandising and inventory strategy across all Jewellery and Watch categories in the UK. With a sharp commercial lens, you will ensure our assortments and stock positions are insight‑led, optimised and competitive - driving sales, profitability and a compelling customer proposition across our showroom network and online channels.
Leading high‑performing Buying and Merchandising teams, you will bring clarity, pace and structure to the function, aligning strategy to deliver revenue and margin targets. In doing so, you will champion best‑in‑class product selection, forecasting, inventory management and trusted supplier partnerships that support sustainable growth.
- Extensive senior leadership experience in Buying and/or Merchandising within a retail environment.
- Proven experience influencing and operating at Board or Executive level.
- Exceptional negotiation and brand‑relationship management skills.
- Demonstrable ability to deliver commercial results within budgets while actively trading profit opportunities.
- Strong strategic, analytical and forecasting skills; highly commercial mindset.
- Evidence of leading, coaching and developing high‑performing teams across multiple functions.
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Solution‑focused mindset with strong communication and influencing skills.
